PAssionArts Festival (Concert Band)
Peicai Concert Band has been awarded a 5-Star Distinction at the PAssionArts Festival Open Stage Band Competition 2026, held on 18 July 2026 at Our Tampines Hub. The band was one of eight participating schools that came together to showcase their musical talents, passion and dedication to concert band music.
The PAssionArts Festival is a community arts platform that brings together artists, arts groups and the community to celebrate the arts and foster greater appreciation for the arts. The Open Stage Band Competition provides an opportunity for school and community bands to perform before an audience and be assessed by experienced music professionals, while encouraging a spirit of learning, collaboration and excellence through music.
The performances were adjudicated by Brando Tan, CEO of Music Elements, and Benjamin Yeo, Singaporean composer. Their professional expertise and feedback provided valuable opportunities for the participating bands to learn and grow in their musical journey.
Representing Peicai Secondary School, the Peicai Concert Band performed two pieces: Fate of the Gods by Steven Reineke and Stars of Tomorrow by Kahchun Wong. Through their performance, the students demonstrated their musical growth, teamwork and commitment to excellence.
This achievement is a testament to the students' dedication, perseverance and commitment throughout their preparation. It also reflects the guidance and support of our teachers and instructors, whose encouragement and expertise have played an important role in the band's musical journey.
