Public Speaking Workshops
At Peicai Secondary School, we recognize the importance of effective communication. To nurture this skill, we bring in public speaking experts to train our Secondary One students, equipping them with the confidence and knowledge needed to communicate effectively. Our students learn the art of engaging their audience through both verbal and non-verbal communication.
Representatives are identified and trained for the Plain English Speaking Award organised by YMCA.
In the English classroom, they have numerous opportunities to practice and enhance these skills through engaging activities, mock debates, and class presentations.
Additionally, we identify and prepare representatives to participate in the Plain English Speaking Award organized by YMCA, further honing their public speaking abilities.

Creative Writing Programme
Secondary Two students engage in an enriching programme led by renowned
local writers, unlocking their creativity and imagination. They delve into
diverse genres of writing, refining their skills and embracing experimentation.
Encouraged to take risks and learn collaboratively, students develop their
critical thinking skills, build confidence in their writing abilities and
discover their creative potential, and in turn, enhance their ability to
craft compelling essays.

Debating Programme & Championship
All Secondary
Three students participate in debating workshops led by experienced debaters.
These workshops provide a platform for students to practice skills like
argument development and persuasive speech delivery. Through these experiences,
students not only build confidence but also sharpen their critical thinking
abilities. They then get the chance to showcase their skills in the Secondary
Three Inter-class Debating Championship, where they can put their abilities
to the test in friendly competition with their fellow students.
