The assembly began with a Sports Briefing by Mr Alvin, HOD of PE & CCA, who shared key details about the upcoming Sports Day. He outlined the programme and expectations, building anticipation among students. He also introduced the Guest of Honour, Shanti Pereira, a national sprinter whose sporting achievements, discipline and dedication continue to inspire young people to pursue excellence and resilience.

This was followed by a sharing on the Overseas School Exchange Programme (OSEP) by Mr James Koh, HOD of School Partnership and Outreach. He introduced the four overseas destinations that students will be embarking on this year—Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and China (Beijing). The programme promises to be an exciting and enriching journey, offering students valuable exposure to different cultures, education systems and global perspectives.

The assembly concluded with an engaging AI talk by Ms Zhou Wensi, Senior Teacher of History, who explored the role of Artificial Intelligence in today’s interconnected world. She emphasised the importance of using AI responsibly and ethically, particularly in learning contexts. The session was further enriched by interviews with teachers and students, who shared their perspectives on how AI can support learning while underscoring the importance of critical thinking and discernment.
Overall, the assembly offered students meaningful insights into upcoming events and future-ready learning, encouraging them to stay engaged, broaden their perspectives and use technology responsibly.
