26th Int'l Elementz Fair & 45th C B Paul Science Quiz 25
The school is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at two distinguished science competitions — the 26th International Elementz Fair and the C.B. Paul Science Quiz 2025.
At the 26th International Elementz Fair, two teams represented the school at this prestigious event, hosted by Anderson Serangoon Junior College. This provides a valuable platform for students to showcase their original research projects to both local and international audiences.

The team comprising Teo Zhi Yuan (4C4), Zenith Sak Song Zhe (4C1) and Xander Kong Jun Cheng (4C4), presented their project titled “Effects of seed priming with different concentrations of calcium chloride on the germination of Ipomoea Aquatica (Kang Kong), Brassica rapa ssp. chinensis (Nai Bai) and Brassica rapa var. parachinensis (Choy Sum)” while the team made up of Lee Ming Fa (3CN), Chen Jingwen Joanna (3EE) and Lee Jia Wen Dilys (3EE), showcased their research titled “Developing a Primitive Water Filtration System Using Plants’ Xylem”.
Both teams demonstrated commendable scientific inquiry, creativity and effective presentation skills. Notably, both teams were awarded the Bronze Award for their research, a testament to their perseverance and excellence in scientific research.
In addition, our students took part in the C.B. Paul Science Quiz 2025, an annual national competition aimed at recognising students with a strong aptitude for science. Participants were tested on their knowledge and application of core scientific and mathematical concepts through a challenging quiz.

We are pleased to announce that Nicholas Tshing Tan (4C3) and Xander Kong Jun Cheng (4C4) have achieved the Gold Award, while Chen Hongyu (3EE) and Fany Salim (4C4) attained the Bronze Award in this highly competitive event.
