One-year foundation programme to better prepare students for entry into the relevant Polytechnic Diploma courses.
An alternative to the Sec 5 year, caters to Sec 4N(A) cohort students in the preceding year
About 1,700 places set aside each year, offered by all five Polytechnics with more than 80% of Polytechnic Diploma courses offered under the PFP
Starting from the 2026 intake, students will be admitted to the PFP in 3 broad clusters instead of a specific diploma programme.
Qualifying Criteria for PFP: ELMAB3 ≤ 12 (raw)
For admission to courses, the ideal aggregate to aim towards to is ≤10 to allow wider options for consideration.
