Peicai D&T Team Programmes Their Way to Victory at ignITE X-Bots Challenge
We are pleased to share that our Secondary 3 Design & Technology students emerged as Champions at the ignITE X-Bots Challenge Finals, held on 26 May at ITE College East.
The team comprised three Secondary 3 D&T students:
• Chew Yong Xiang Keith, 3CE
• Ong Jingkai Ashton, 3PN
• Yu Yee Fei Evelyn, 3PN
The students competed against 10 other teams in the finals and rose admirably to the challenge. Their journey began on 3 April with their first workshop, where they were introduced to robotics concepts, coding and hands-on tasks. Through the process, the team demonstrated strong commitment, independence and teamwork as they prepared for the competition.
At the preliminary round on 16 April, the team had to apply their problem-solving skills under time constraints. Despite facing technical challenges, they remained composed, worked together to troubleshoot the issues and successfully qualified for the finals.
During the finals on 26 May, the team worked collaboratively to programme and refine their robot for the competition tasks. Their perseverance, focus and effective teamwork enabled them to perform well and clinch the championship title.
This achievement is a proud moment for Peicai Secondary School and reflects our students’ creativity, resilience and growing confidence in applying STEM-related skills beyond the classroom.
We congratulate Keith, Ashton and Evelyn on their outstanding achievement, and thank their teachers for guiding and supporting them throughout this learning journey.
