Student Work Attachment Programme (SWAP) Mid-Year 2026

The Student Work Attachment Programme (SWAP) provides secondary 3 students with authentic workplace experiences beyond the classroom, enabling them to gain valuable insights into various industries while developing essential workplace skills. Through meaningful partnerships with industry partners, SWAP serves as a platform for students to explore career pathways, deepen their understanding of different professions, and connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

This year, our students had the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of work attachments, each offering unique learning experiences and industry exposure.

The Myers Briggs Company: Understanding Self and Others
Students embarked on a journey of self-discovery through workshops on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). They gained a deeper understanding of their personality types, strengths, communication styles, and working preferences. Beyond personal development, students also had the opportunity to apply their creativity by assisting in the design and development of personality poster, learning how psychological frameworks can be translated into engaging educational resources.

AI Noodle Factory: Exploring Education and Artificial Intelligence
At AI Noodle Factory, students were introduced to the dynamic intersection of education and artificial intelligence. They explored how AI is transforming teaching and learning using AI learning tools and applications. A highlight of the experience was the opportunity for students to try out the AI Noodle Factory platform itself, gaining first-hand experience in how AI-powered systems function in an educational context.

Sanwah Construction: Insights into Project Management
Students at Sanwah Construction gained first-hand exposure to the construction industry and the critical role of project management. Through interactions with professionals, they learned about project planning, coordination, resource management, and the collaborative efforts required to bring large-scale projects to completion. The experience highlighted the importance of teamwork, communication, and meticulous planning in the built environment sector.

Rainbow Aquarium SWAP with students

Rainbow Aquarium: From Terrariums to the Fish Trade
At Rainbow Aquarium, students explored both the creative and commercial aspects of the aquatic industry. They participated in hands-on terrarium-making workshops, learning about plant care, design principles, and ecosystem sustainability. In addition, students gained valuable insights into the ornamental fish trade, including fish breeding, care, distribution, and business operations within the industry.

Unlisted Collection (Brasserie Astoria) with students

Unlisted Collection: Behind the Scenes of Food and Beverage Operations
Students attached to the Unlisted Collection (Brasserie Astoria) experienced the fast-paced environment of the food and beverage industry. They learned about day-to-day restaurant operations, customer service, order-taking processes, and the coordination required to deliver quality dining experiences. Through interactions with various departments, students developed a greater appreciation for teamwork and operational excellence that underpin successful F&B establishments.
