Peicaians Shine as Gracious Hosts to Satit Prasarnmit Demonstration School (Secondary)
On Monday, 27 July 2026, Peicai Secondary School was delighted to welcome Ms Krinnaphat Argasvipart and her team from the Trilingual Plus Programme of Satit Prasarnmit Demonstration School (Secondary) (SPSM), Thailand, for a return exchange. It was a long-anticipated reunion for both schools, and a meaningful chance for our Peicaians to return the warmth and hospitality shown to them when they visited Satit Prasarnmit in November last year. Over one full day, our Peicaians turned the visit into a celebration of who they are: gracious, capable and proud to share their school and their nation with friends from afar.

Ms Krinnaphat Argasvipart is greeted with a warm embrace on arrival at Peicai.
Hosts with Heart
Looking after guests from morning to evening is no small undertaking, and our students embraced it with Responsibility and Care. Our Principal, Mr Michael, opened the day by presenting a Friendship Plaque to our guests, and our Peicai buddies carried that spirit of welcome through every hour that followed. They introduced their school with pride, spoke with confidence and put their guests at ease, showing the Respect and Communication skills that define a good host. On the sports floor, they played alongside their guests with sportsmanship and teamwork, and the laughter shared there needed no translation.

Confidence on Stage
A highlight of the day was the Performing Arts Exchange. Much thought went into our OSEP students' energetic pop medley, from the creative choices to the many hours of preparation. Performing for an audience from another country asked them to collaborate closely, trust one another and take pride in what they were offering. It was a vivid example of Critical and Inventive Thinking and of Communication, Collaboration and Information Skills, expressed through movement and shared with courage. Our guests responded in kind with cultural pieces that paid tribute to Thailand's past and present, and our Peicaians were privileged to experience that heritage first-hand.

As our students guided their guests through the landmarks of Singapore’s Civic District, they became storytellers of Singapore's beginnings. They took the lead in the Civic District Race, planning their own path, navigating the city with their guests and choosing the challenges they wished to take on. It was a proud moment to see them guide with such confidence and initiative.
In doing so, they grew in Civic Literacy, Global Awareness and Cross-Cultural Skills, and they showed Resilience and Adaptability through a long, busy day under the scorching afternoon sun. The day closed with a KBBQ dinner, a well-earned treat that let both hosts and guests relax together as friends. By then, the warmth between them said more than any programme could.

In November, our Peicaians were welcomed with open arms in Thailand. On 27 July, they returned that kindness with creativity, initiative and heart, and in doing so showed what it means to lead with grace. We are immensely proud of them, and we look forward to the next chapter of our friendship with Satit Prasarnmit Demonstration School (Secondary).

Until we meet again!
