Peicai's Art Club joined PAssionArts Festival 2026 at Tampines Hub, guiding public art activities and meeting Guest-of-Honour Dr Koh Poh Koon while building community and collaboration.

Where Art Meets Community: Peicai Art Club at PAssionArts Festival 2026

On Saturday, 8 August 2026, our Art Club members participated in the PAssionArts Festival (PAF) 2026 at Tampines Hub. Organised by the People's Association Arts & Culture Division and its network of Community Arts and Culture Clubs (CACCs), the festival provides residents with opportunities to participate in creative activities and strengthen their sense of community and belonging. This year's theme, 'Our Neighbourhood Gems', celebrates the unique stories, people and places that make each community special.

Our Art Club members played an active role by guiding members of the public across five engaging art activities, namely stamp printmaking, marble painting, creative upcycling using recycled milk cartons, pebble painting, and an art painting installation, in collaboration with St Hilda's Primary School Art Club. In doing so, they had the opportunity to develop and hone their competencies in communication and collaboration, while adapting creatively and taking initiative in community engagement through their interactions with a diverse range of participants, from toddlers to the elderly.

The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour Dr Koh Poh Koon, whose presence added to the significance of the celebrations. Our students were delighted to meet Dr Koh, interacting with him enthusiastically and sharing their experiences at the festival.

Through this experience, our students discovered that art is a powerful way to connect people and strengthen community bonds. We are immensely proud of their creativity, teamwork and community spirit!
