Celebrating Our Peicaians: Celebration and Recognition Day 2026
22 October 2026 was a day of pride and celebration as Peicai gathered for its annual Celebration and Recognition (C&R) Day. The occasion brought our school community together to acknowledge the achievements of our students and celebrate the diverse talents, strengths and values that make each Peicaian unique. Beyond celebrating individual accomplishments, the event highlighted the passion for learning and strength of character that define the Peicai spirit.
Recognising Excellence in Every Form
Success takes many forms, and C&R Day provided an opportunity to celebrate students who have excelled in different areas of school life.
Academic achievements were recognised through the Good Improvement Awards and Principal’s list. Award recipients would have had to demonstrate exemplary conduct to be an awardee of the Principal’s List. In addition to motivating the students, it is the school’s hope that the students on the Principal’s List would also be an inspiration to the student body that nothing is impossible with discipline and hardwork, while the CCA Colours Awards paid tribute to students whose dedication, leadership and accomplishments have enriched the school's co-curricular landscape.
Character and personal growth were equally celebrated through the Mr Josephus Tan Book Prizes. The Spirit of Resilience Book Prize recognised students who demonstrated determination and perseverance in the face of challenges, while the Trailblazer Book Prize honoured those who displayed initiative and innovation to make a difference. The PinnaCle Book Prize celebrated students who demonstrated exceptional passion and achievement in English Language, Mathematics, Science or Sports, affirming their strengths and encouraging them to pursue greater heights.
In addition, The Principal’s Class of the Year Award (PCYA) recognises classes that exemplify a positive class culture, demonstrate a strong sense of collective responsibility and actively participate in school events and activities.
A Stage for Talent and Creativity
The celebration was not just about receiving awards. It was also an opportunity for our students to shine on stage!
The top three finalists of Peicai Got Talent entertained the audience with musical performances that reflected their creativity, confidence and passion. Their performances brought energy to the occasion and highlighted the wealth of talent within our school community.
A particularly inspiring moment was the recognition of Zoe Katherine Lee Buckalew (2AY), whose song was selected from 21 submissions for showcase on the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) YouTube page. Through her music, Zoe hopes to encourage fellow Peicaians to believe in their abilities and pursue what they love.
Every Achievement, A Story Worth Celebrating
The event concluded with an inspiring address by our Principal, Mr Michael, who encouraged students to pursue their aspirations with determination and purpose. He emphasised the importance of nurturing a passion for learning, developing strength of character and upholding the school’s core values. His message reminded every Peicaian to embrace challenges with resilience, strive for continuous growth and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
As the ceremony drew to a close, the applause from staff and students reflected a shared sense of pride, joy and appreciation for the achievements celebrated.
More than an awards ceremony, Celebration & Recognition Day 2026 was a celebration of the journeys behind each achievement, the perseverance to overcome challenges and the courage to pursue one's aspirations. It served as a meaningful reminder that success is not only measured by accomplishments, but also by the character, values and determination demonstrated along the way.
To all our award recipients and performers, congratulations! May your journeys continue to inspire others to dream boldly, persevere through challenges and strive for excellence.
